Unlocking £1 billion of government funding

Improving rural connectivity is a long-standing policy aim for the Country Land and Business Association (CLA). I designed and delivered a complementary strategic PR campaign to support its public affairs outreach and policy team activity which culminated in front-page feature in The Daily Telegraph, and a government announcement of £1 billion of funding for mobile masts in the countryside.

Under the #4GForAll campaign banner, I worked closely with media outlets, including industry (mobile and technology), regional, and mainstream (broadsheets, tabloids, and broadcast, BBC Radio Four - You and Yours, Farming Today) to place campaign activity at key moments.

Working closely with DCMS on the main announcement, I ensured the CLA was referenced as the key partner and quoted in the release.
